Illustration Friday: Rain

After using Adobe Illustrator at work (in mostly unartistic ways) I decided to render this week's topic using vector graphics.



I used an open source vector graphics editor called Inkscape. I like the program pretty well. The point and curve editing was pretty smooth and intuitive compared to my recent frustrations with Illustrator.

I told my wife the topic and she said, "A hippo with a tutu."

...let's hope next week's topic is decapitation so I can balance this one out.

WIP: Wine Cellar

Here's the very "work in progress" wine cellar I mentioned awhile back. Needs lots of texture, debris, and damage work, but I like the general vibe of it.

I didn't want to just paint a portrait of myself, so I did a portrait of myself painting a portrait of myself...


It's the first self-portrait I've done since getting the mechanical arm tattoo nearly a year ago.
